I missed the final deadline. Can I still submit my project?

No worries! We offer deadline waivers (though not fee waivers). If our programming isn’t finalized, we can hook you up with a waiver code. You’ll just need to pay the Last Call submission rate.

 

What is the selection process?

We’ve got a panel of 12 international judges from around the globe. Each entry gets rated by at least 8 judges. Only entries scoring a cumulative 8.0 (out of 10) or higher make the cut!

 

If I wish to withdraw my submission, are there refunds?

Unfortunately, no. The submission fee covers our judges' time to review. Once your project is in, it’s eligible for judging.

 

Can you recommend hotel accommodations?

Absolutely! The festival is held at Southwest Theaters Lake Creek 7 in North Austin. We highly recommend the Lone Star Court Hotel in the Domain. It’s a retro boutique hotel that’s super popular, so book your room ASAP!

 

What comes with my selection?

You get a VIP badge! This gives you access to reserved seating, eligibility for over 30 awards, and the chance to participate in the filmmaker and screenwriter Q&A. Plus, we promote our selections on our website and social media.

 

How many passes do I get with my selection?

You get one VIP badge for your screening block. Due to limited capacity and our support for the Autism Society of Texas, we request all other guests purchase a ticket.

 

Where can I find the schedule?

We’ll share the schedule on our website one week before the event. Stay tuned!

 

I won an award, but I did not attend or I left before the award ceremony. Can you mail it to me?

We really hope you can stay for the award ceremony! If not, we’ll email you a digital copy of your award. If you receive a plaque, we can ship it to you, but you’ll need to cover the shipping costs.

 

Is there a dress code?

Dress however you like! While there will be a professional photographer, red carpet, and a step-and-repeat banner, there’s no official dress code. Feel free to express yourself!

 

Is there a livestream or virtual festival?

We’re all about the live experience! In addition to encouraging family and friends to support filmmakers, we respect the exclusivity of our premiering films.
